Processing

The organic production system as well as processing and packaging processes aim to create an environment friendly, minimally processed products and high-quality products which maintain the integrity of the produce. Processing of food and feed can add nutritional and economic value. Organic processing methods, practices and substances are regulated through the certification body, and the use of artificial or synthetic preservatives and irradiation, for example, is prohibited.
